The Bluenose Squadron is a unit of the Canadian Power & Sail Squadrons (CPSS) which is our parent organization responsible for overseeing a large number of squadrons spread across Canada. The primary goal of the CPSS and its member squadrons is to increase boating knowledge and promote safe boating through education and training for members and the general public. All squadrons are non-profit.

The Bluenose Squadron serves the South Western Shore of Nova Scotia from St. Margaret's Bay to Liverpool and beyond. In addition, we also serve the Annapolis Valley. Our members cruise the fabulous waters of St. Margaret's Bay, Mahone Bay, Lunenburg Bay and La Have River areas. The tides are limited to less than two metres, the currents are generally weak and the islands are numerous and exquisite! Shoals do exist however, and therefore good navigation must be exercised.
